Flip it, Flip it good...
Does anybody know anything about these cute little things? I'd love to take something with me on the mountain and I can't decide between this and my little Sony digi. Help!

Vacation...
We're finally going on a vacation! I can't believe it. It only took a knock-down fight this weekend to realize that we need a break. H works about 65 hours a week lately and has been across the "pond" twice in the last month and to Germany as well. We've been married for 5 years and have only gone on three real vacations that didn't include my husband's job in some way. As a lawyer, he's required to attend CLE's and other conferences throughout the year and since they're usually at great locations, we go and the firm pays for most or all of it. But, that doesn't exactly make them our vacations and they're almost never relaxing.
So, thanks to the incredible deals going on in the travel world {thanks to the crappy economy}, we're going to Whistler to stay at the Four Seasons for 7 nights! Yay! It's my first trip to Canada and Lillie's first trip out of the country. She's so excited to get her passport pictures taken tomorrow. What a nut! We're be there the first week of December and it just happens to be during this, which I'm pretty excited about as well. They have outdoor screenings, celebrity ski races and lots of other neat stuff apparently.

Things I'm not cool enough to wear, but wish I was.
More Net-a-Porter finds that I wish I was cool enough to pull off...not to mention rich enough to afford.
C. Lou's*
I'll take any of these in an 8, if somebody was looking to buy me an early Christmas gift or a late birthday present. Net-a-Porter has a great selection of "different" Louboutins that you don't see all over the place. I love the first pair. Dark grey flannel? Yes, please
{all from here}
* C. Lou's are the name my shoe obsessed friend has given to Louboutins to speed up her emails when she send them to me daily. :)
Net-a-Porter and LBD
I'm a REALLY big little black dress fan. They're just so easy to work with and I never feel out of place in one. Black hides figure flaws, goes with everything and you can never have too many in your closet IMO. Some say it's the easy way out, but for us fashion challenged peeps, they help us look trendy and current, even though I have no idea what I'm doing really.
In honor of the upcoming holiday party season, here are my favorites from Net-a-Porter.
Sometimes fashion hurts...
You probably don't know this, but I hate wearing heels. I love looking at them, buying them, trying them on, bu t I hate to wear them. They HURT!!! I still buy them though. Lots of them. Here is another pair that I'll buy and wear a couple of times before I want to throw them away or hurl them out the window on the way home one night. :) They're really cute though, so I'll give them a try. The only ones that I've ever been able to wear for any length of time are my C. Lou's or the 4 pairs of Cordanis that I splurged on for my birthday. Oops.
Rooooooooll Tide Roll
We need good Karma tonight. This is from last year's Bama-TN game. We won then, we need to win tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!
BTW, don't be shocked about the number of new posts after tonight. I am a nervous football watcher. I can't look directly at the TV.

Come sail away...
Come sail away, come sail away with me...
Well, sail away with my husband to be more exact. Because this is his Christmas gift! Ok, not the boat, I'm not completely nuts, but I'm giving him a gift certificate for sailing lessons in Tortola! It's a 10 day class that gets you ready to be able to charter your own monohull or catamaran and he's going to LOVE it. He's sailed before, but not in a long time. It'll make me feel much better about sailing the open seas with him this summer as well. I am not a huge fan of open water and small boats, but I'm going to try for him. Yay! I love it when a plan comes together!
Paper Goodness...
Yes, it's a letterpressed Obama quote! How great is that? Kristen at Twin Ravens Press made these and she's giving away her extras. She was sweet enough to drop one in the mail for me this week and I can't wait to receive it. It's so pretty! You can read the whole quote and beg for your own on her blog, but hurry...she doesn't have a ton and they're too great to last that long.

Holiday dressing...
and not the cornbread type.
Since I'm already planning my NYE invitations and catering, why not look for something to wear?
I'll take this, a great pair of jeans and some killer shoes...
Eddie Ross, where have you been all my life?

Favorite movie...favorite song...
This brings tears to my eyes...I love this movie and I love this song. We saw Elton John last year and it was amazing. I just rewatched the movie tonight and cried again...I'm a dork.
It's my party...
How cute is this? It looks like the perfect 1st birthday for a darling little girl. Paul from {Sweet Paul} is so talented. There are more pictures on his blog and they're all just as darling. Love it.
Vintage Stamps??
Hee hee...
Ok, there are a ton of comments on the You Tube page, but as a Obama supporter I think this is great. Some are saying it's Anti-Obama, but I really don't see how. It's so cute and it must have taken a ton of time to do.

Sing a SimpleSong...
About how fantastic and talented Suann Song is!
Not only does she have wonderful things in her store and an awesome blog {she's celebrating her 500th post!), I get the pleasure of working with Suann for my NYE party invites! I'm so excited and she's already come up with an awesome idea that I never would have thought of in a million years! Thanks! Oh yeah, she somehow found the time to put up a rockin' website too!
Here is one of the newest offerings in her etsy store. It's a holiday packaging kit and it's as darling as it is functional. To quote the robot stylist "I die...She's shutting it down!" ;) Love it!
{buy me!}
Halloween
UPDATE: I've decided what I'm going to be for Halloween...Parker Posey from Dazed and Confused! I'm so excited! We're doing a whole group thing. Two or three girls going as the Seniors, maybe one or two as the Freshman and my best guy friend is going as Wooderson!!! We're still trying to get another guy to dress up as Mitch and get my husband to skip his conference and go as the coach or Rory Cochrane's character. Yay!! I'm so excited!
{We're dying his pants this weekend}
What is there to be if I don't want to be either of these?
but don't exactly want to look like a reject from the Playboy Party either...
{from here}
So the question is, What should I be for Halloween? Lillie is going to be spending the night with my parents, since my mother has never seen her on Halloween, so I've got the whole night to myself. I'll be going to some single person type party at a bar with some friends. My sweet husband is going to a meeting that weekend, so I'm flying solo. If he was going to be in town, we'd go as the Lana and Joel from Risky Business.
