Ok, now that I've decided to go with a cheaper J. Crew ceremony dress, I need to pick one! I know I've got months and months, but why wait? I like one or two of these as much as I'm going to like anything, I think and the price is great as well! I might add some sort of silk/fabric flower to whichever dress I choose {sort of like this dress}, but maybe not. We're going for a black tie optional/cocktail attire level of formality, so keep that in mind when picking your fave.
Anyway, a little about my body...I'm a shorty {5'4"} and while I'm not going to share my weight, I'll say I'm curvy. My chest is probably my best feature, except maybe my smile and winning personality. I wear a large D cup, so I HAVE to wear a bra, but I can wear a strapless one with ease. I'm planning on toning up for Wedding 2.0 and have some kick-ass arms and back, so I'd like to show those off too.
I'm not going to tell you my favorite until I hear what everybody {all three of you who read and comment} has to say. What's your vote?
{Gracie}
{Whitney}
If you click on the names, you can see the detail shots of each dress.

First and foremost, I think you should go with the one that makes your heart happy. It is your Wedding 2.0 after all. They're all beautiful but since you've asked our opinion and want to know our favorite, the one that I find the most beautiful is Gracie. It's classic & romantic with a touch whimsy. Just my two cents as I'm sure you'll be gorgeous in whatever dress you pick. Happy dress hunting...
I like them all and my favourite is Gracie. However, if you're a D cup I think perhaps one of the others might look more flattering. Especially if you have to wear a bra. Perhaps Whitney?
my vote is for gracie (very unique) or whitney (very feminine). . .they are all beautiful though!
The Gracie is my absolute favorite. My step-sister is wearing it in kelly green as a bridesmaid in my wedding. My next favorite is Whitney because it has a little character. Have fun picking!
Ha ha! I'm apparently going to buck the trend and vote for Robin. (Be warned I've never claimed to have much fashion sense though.)
Have you gotten to try them on? I think if you did a favorite would jump out at you. I can never predict how things will look on me.
Cecelia. Sounds like it would look really good on you. But get whichever makes you happy. I do love these dresses!
Kate, you sound like you are built an awful lot like me... although I am an oh-so-statuesque 5'5" ;)
While I think the Gracie is beautiful, I think, for me, the Cecilia or the Whitney would be the best suited to my body, so maybe those would be the best for yours too? And, if your chest is your third best feature (behind your smile and personality) it seems like the Cecelia would be a fab way to give it some demure attention!
All that said, you should wear whatever dress you love the most! These all are beautiful and could all be embellished; this is your chance to do things exactly the way you want to, so get the dress that makes you feel absolutely stunning!!
Oh, and by the way, I am now craving the Whitney in Graphite although right now I have no need for it at all! :)
I'm 5'4" too. I think from what I know that the Cecilia would be the best dress. I think that it's a beautiful cut with very flattering lines that will still allow you to wear a bra :-D
The Sascha gown is actually my favorite but I think the Whitney gown is stunning and classic. PS: If you click on the link for the Party Board you will get to my other blog. ;)
