Help me decide...

While doing my usual stalking of the Net-a-Porter sales section, I came across these two gems. Great prices for what they are! They're by no means cheap, but come on...Chloe and Jimmy Choo! I'll take 30-40% off any day. Both pairs are something I could wear for years. Not too trendy and both will go with everything. I would love both pairs, but my husband doesn't love me that much. :)

So, which one should I buy? Remember, I live in the South, where it can be 90* on Halloween and snow on Spring Break. Our shoe seasons are weird. Oh and I'm leaning towards one pair...but I'm not telling which one.

My kind of porn*...

Shoes. Beautiful, expensive, possibly uncomfortable, classic black shoes. How I love thee! I must have 15 pairs of black heels. They are all mostly mid-range brands {JCrew, Banana Republic, a few department store brands} , though I have a few pairs that cost more than the average pair. Nothing that is of porn quality...until now. I've decided to use the rewedding as a handy way to justify the purchase of grade A, top quality shoe porn.

Part of the justification is that since I'm going with black shoes {great with a grey dress I think}, I'll wear them a ton. Thanks to an InStyle article from a few years ago, I always divide the price by number of times I think I can wear something. It totally erases the guilt with some pieces and helps with most of the others. Now, I have more than a year until our date and I know new shoes will come and go, but these are the ones I have my eye on...in case they actually go on sale for some odd reason. That's the only issue with black evening shoes...they don't go on sale very much. Oh and the Manolo's are Carrie's shoes in SATC Movie.

It's a really good thing that we get paid on the last day of the month and not the first...that way I can use my 25% card one last time before it goes bye bye. I've loved this month!

Melisa over at The Lil Bee has great taste AND a new house, so you can imagine all the great ideas on her blog right now. This couch that she wants to use in her den is one of them and it's now my #1 contender for use in our playroom that we're going to build out one day soon. Lil saw it and wanted to know if it could be her bed and I can't think of one good reason why not! It looks so comfy, how could I tell her no?

Would it be bad if I had another babe JUST to have a reason to buy this? 

I never thought I'd say this, but I wish I had a bridesmaids dress! I love Thread and I really wish I could get this first one quicker than 14 weeks. I'd love to wear it to a charity event I have in the middle of February. It's simple, but chic and looks very comfy. Great for a night of drunken dancing! :) 

Anybody seen a dress like this in a sz. 16? Probably not!

Is this the same dress that the officiant has on? I love the dress she has on {not to mention the bride's dress!} and I've had this Marchesa saved for awhile. While I was writing the other posts about the dresses, I begin to think they might be the same. What do you think?

UPDATE**** I bought this dress on Gilt this week. So, I sure hope I love it as much in person as I do online. I guess one of our colors is now red! :)

BTW, how gorgeous is that picture? I've got some more images to post later from the same wedding. It was shot in Charleston by the super talented guys from A Bryan Photo and is on the front page of their site right now. It was a stunning ceremony and looked like a super fun reception!

Million dress Bride...

Since I can't get the venue guy to call me back, I've been thinking about a million other little things...Like the dress issue, for instance. Do I really want to spend $$$ on a "real" designer gown like the ones I've posted time and time again? Yes. Should I? No. I just can't get over the feeling that I would regret spending that much money on something I could only wear once. So, I've come up with a new plan...cheaper ceremony dress and rocking reception dress that I can wear over and over. What do you think?
