I've seen them as Whoopie Pies, here they're Moon Burgers. Whatever you want to call them, I love them. I can't find a baker that I am totally in love with close to our venue, so I'm thinking about doing a dessert table with all sorts of mini treats. These will definitely make the cut if we got that route. Yum!

Hi Kate! I used the recipe that was part of the whoopie pie nytimes article you have linked. i think next time i will use my grandma's recipe for the frosting. but they are yummy. i was practicing to use these for a sweets table i'm doing for a wedding myself. great minds! :)
have you tried Rhonda Joodi's cakes??? mmm mmmm good!!
